Mulholland Drive 2001

Mulholland Drive is an American neo-noir psychological thriller written and directed by David Lynich. Lynch was awarded the 'Best Director Award' for the film's surrealism.

The film starts of in a linear story line, following a young, bright eyed actress who travels to Hollywood only to be ensnared in a dark conspiracy. After meeting a dark haired woman who was nearly murdered and now has amnesia, both set out to try and gain the woman's memory back. However before the audience can really get into the plot line, the film takes a strange twist and ends up showing a different life style of two women (played by the same actresses), both are mixed up in a world with a blue box, a director named Adam Kesher and a strange night club called Silencio.

Overall I rather enjoyed the film. Although the film doesn't give any answers to the questions the audience asks, to me there is a subtle plot, which could exist so long as one doesn't look too deep into it. I rather liked the soundtracks used for the film. A mixture of the 50's as well as some opera and pop.
