Lotte Reiniger was born in 1899 and was an animator who's specialty was silhouette figures. She is most known for her animation 'The Adventures of Prince Achmed' which was released in 1928.
I also enjoyed her version of Cinderella created in 1922. The fact that there wasn't any sound accompanying it didn't put me of. I liked the way emotion and the story was still able to be portrayed without it.
